Saying No

How often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals?

As I have gotten older and more focused on what is important, saying no has become easier. If someone asks for my time, the first thing I think of is where is that time coming from? Will it take away from my family? My personal time? Saying no has become something that doesn’t phase me as much as it did when I was younger.

Now, I am not perfect and definitely say yes to things that I later regret. I’ve learned to deal with that in a manner that works best for me.

Saying no to things that don’t align with my goals and purpose has become a superpower in my 40s. Younger me is proud.
